Northern Oregon Coast trip in Fall, 2008

I decided to take a trip to the Northern Oregon Coast during my Thanksgiving vacation time this year (2008) and I was finally able to shoot some pictures of the Oregon Coast.

The trip started in Beaverton, Oregon on Tuesday, 11/25, and I drove to Seaside, Oregon, and it was raining... hard. After walking around the beach for a bit (in the cold rain, mind you!), I decided to head south toward Rockaway and Twin Rocks.

I stayed in Rockaway Beach at The Getaway Oceanfront Lodging, a great little lodge right on the beach. The night shot below with the grass in the bottom of the picture was taken from the same spot as this night shot of The Getaway.

On Wednesday, the sun finally came out and it was sunny all day. After a long day of driving around, I ended up in Newport, Oregon and ate at the Rogue Brewery World Headquarters. At first, I didn't know what to expect and the service seemed kinda slow, but there were a lot of people in the restaurant and only two waitresses. Then I got my food. Let me just say that it was worth the wait! I was hoping to get a tour of the brewery so I could take pictures, but I had to get back to Beaverton.
